Education Philosophy The purpose of public education is to enable students to be contributing members of society. Without it, the world would not be as we know it today in a very intelligent and complex society. Education is important in very many ways, probably too many to be listed. But I believe that among all other things that it allows students, by being educated, to live their lives in a way in which they can be successful in whatever they do. By learning about the trials and errors of those who came before us permits students to make well thought out decisions later on in their life. I personally hope to be able to better my students lives by educating them about the overall curriculum and standards brought about†¦show more content†¦The two curriculums that I will be teaching are Physical Education and Health Education. I believe it is essential to teach fitness at a young age in order for the students to have a life they can further enjoy by being healthy. I also think that educa ting students about the human body and being able to use your body in physical activity is essential to have a healthy lifestyle. I plan on teaching life long activities and also good health habits that they can use the rest of their lives. Once I am into the field of teaching I hope that I can acquire a tenure and find a school that I enjoy being at and stay at that school for a number of years. Aside from the sense of helping kids, one factor of my wanting to teach is so that I can coach athletics. I believe that sports are much like life, and by playing sports, you can learn about life and its hardships. I want to be able to teach my students and players not only how to play a game, but how to relate the game that they are playing to a real life situation. The reason I strive to do this is that I had a coach in high school to whom I could always look up to for guidance, and many other students too, and he made me want to be a teacher and a coach. I want to be able to enjoy relationships with my former students and players once they get out of school and into the work force.
